I am sat on the time line that passes thru The Liby@n Arabic Peoples
Socialist Republic.
It’s 9pm on the 30/12/2011 and in 3
hours time I will officially turn 50 years old. I was actually born on the line
that passes thru Gisborne NZ which is 12 hours ahead of GMT, so really, I reach
this grand medium old age in the next couple of hours as I was born at 9 in the
morning on the 31st –I asked my mum, she remembers the exact moment. My beloved
wifes at the hospital working a night shift. I’m alone.The things you do to
avoid a party lol ! I would’nt want to be anywhere else. That’s because… (I
don’t need to explain myself) … but, my lifes been pretty much divided in two
so far, the thirst(mistake intentional) 25 years without the knowledge of God
and the follow-ing 25 years knowing Him. I wouldn’t want to be
anywhere else, because I’m here because, He has led and I have followed. I
suppose I should be soul searching- pondering and reflecting on my achievements/lack
of the aforementioned, but ‘bov’… I’ve Peace about the who what where why when
and woh-how… I Am is with me. His presence and anointing surrounds, I’m In Love
with my Creator and nothing could be greater. Just being in Liby@ is some sort
of bizarre event that marks the occasion marvellously, and I’m looking forward
to going to bed early so that I can get up early and enter into another day of
sweet adventure with my friend Jesus. He’s always a joy to be with even if I’m
only polishing onions.
Had a good chat (God bless Skype) last evening with the 3 fruits
of my loins back in the homeland- their only fault is that they are yet to
appreciate my awesome humorous abilitys lol- but despite that they fill me with
joy and the right sort of pride. I’m Blessed beyond all measure. Successful in
life so far ? You bet!
It’s now 2 hours later and I’ve just got back from
phoning my Mum- we spoke to each other within an hour of my birth 50 years ago.
My Dads not well and is going downhill. The cancer is making life difficult. I
know he has blessed and released me to do what I am doing with life, but it’s
still not easy being half a world away. I trust that they know the Love I have
for them, and that the life and love they gave me is being used for the highest
purpose. I spoke to my heavenly father about turning 50. He didn’t seem to think that I was
old at all- considering that He is eternal- it’s a good point! I’m looking
forward to building on all the experience I have had and can see nothing but
more success in the future. ‘..on earth as it is in heaven’.
Life owes me nothing. Let the years
Bring clouds or azure, joy or tears,
Already a full cup I’ve quaffed;
Already wept and loved and laughed,
And seen, in ever endless ways,
New beauties overwhelm the days.
Life owes me naught. No pain that waits
Can steal the wealth from memories gates;
No aftermath of anguish slow
Can quench the soul-fires early glow.
I breathe, exulting, each new breath,
Embracing Life, ignoring Death.
Life owes me nothing. One clear morn
Is boon enough for being born;
And be it ninety years or ten
No need for me to question when.
While life is mine, I’ll find it good,
And greet each hour with gratitude.
